CentOS Download. CentOS as a group is a community of open source contributors and users. Typical CentOS users are organisations and individuals that do not need strong commercial support in order to achieve successful operation. Upload CentOS’s ISO files (i have 7 iso files) into /centos5.5_iso_files directory. It is probably that you do not have createrepo rpm package, then download it from CentOS RPM repository.
(1) Is RHEL6.0 x86_64 beta downloaded from Red Hat site working fine?
(2) Where to download CentOS 5.5 DVD iso without using BitTorrent?
(3) What are the differences between these two images - CentOS 5.5 i386 and CentOS 5.5 x86_64? One for 32 bit and one for 64 bit. That's it?
Thanks a lot!

WS_FTP LE is freeware... and seems to be the most popular. Install it. Then you should be able to transfer files.

Sorry to break this up so much.... but I'm doing the process.
Run WS_FTP and click on Connect --> New --> and create a name of RedHat then in the next screen --> put ftp.redhat.com in the host box and login = anonymous (check the box) and fill in your e-mail address as the password. Then double click on the connection and it should connect and start the download process. It's going to take a long time to download two cd-rom's worth of information.

One more suggestion... use a mirror site. I stumbled across one that is 100 kbps faster than the redhat site itself on my DSL connection. That's all for now.
